Italian carrier ITA Airways has extended its partnership with supplier Jettainer who will provide unit load device (ULD) management services for another contract period.

Jettainer provides a customized fleet of ULDs of more than 4,000 containers and pallets for ITA and manages the airline’s entire ULD fleet with advanced IT solutions and an experienced team.

This approach provides the greatest possible transparency and visibility within the process of ULD use, maximizes ULD utilization rates and avoids empty positioning runs, reducing costs and CO2 emissions.

ITA Airways also benefits from the reliability and flexibility in ULD supply, in line with its continued growth trajectory. The Italian airline serves a growing network of destinations in Europe, Africa, North, Central and South America and Asia via its hub in Rome Fiumicino and Milan Linate airport.
