AviusULD, a leader in ULD (unit load device) manufacturing, has promoted Charles Drummond to the position of chief operating officer. 

Drummond, who started his career as a mechatronics engineer, was previously the vice president of business development and sales at AviusULD. 

In his new role, Drummond will provide strategic leadership and direction for sales and business development, purchasing, and overall plant management 

He brings over 25 years of experience in various leadership roles, including operations management, commercial management, and business transformation. He will join CEO Klaus Hofmann, and CFO Élodie Saykham, in a newly formed executive committee. 

AviusULD has laid out ambitious goals for 2024 and has some new products in the pipeline. The company’s EASA-certified manufacturing facility in Bangkok is equipped with the latest machinery and technology, serving as the home base for its engineering, sales and support team in Asia Pacific.

“I have known the business for over 12 years, having previously been one of their largest customers,” said Drummond. “I look forward to leveraging my experience in the aviation industry, operations strategy, and team management to drive further growth and innovation at AviusULD.”
