Doha’s Hamad International Airport finished 2023 strong in its cargo operations as the airport saw volumes increase to 2,340,711 tonnes, from the 2.3 million tonnes reported a year ago.
The airport saw 52 airlines in 2023 and reported 252,059 aircraft movements over the past year, a 22 percent increase from the previous year. It strengthened its global network last year with the arrival of Vistara, Air Iberia, Xiamen and others.
The airport handled connections to 255 destinations in 2023, including passenger, cargo, and chartered flight destinations. For the previous year, the airport welcomed an unprecedented 45,916,104 passengers, up 31 percent from 2022. It said it is now advancing into phase B of its expansion plans, with a target of over 70 million passengers each year.
