Logistics company Militzer & Münch continues its strategic growth in Asia and Oceania. Since March 2024, Militzer & Münch has been a shareholder of an international logistics service provider in Indonesia. The company began operating under the name PT. Militzer and Muench Indonesia on May 1, 2024.
Prior to becoming M&M Indonesia, the existing entity was affiliated with a well-established logistics group operating as its branch office in Indonesia since 2005. The new PT. Militzer and Muench Indonesia now operates with a highly dedicated team of 72 full-time employees and 20 outsourced personnel from its head office in Jakarta, which includes a 6000 sqm warehouse capacity. Additionally, the company manages an operations office at Jakarta International Airport (CGK) with a bonded warehouse (TPS) and branch offices in Surabaya and Balikpapan, East Kalimantan, the latter being in close proximity to the future capital of Indonesia, Nusantara.
“The M&M team in Indonesia is well-versed in both local and global markets with a large customer base. Since its inception in 2005, the team has consistently reported positive growth and results,” says Andreas Löwenstein, Regional Managing Director Asia / Far East at Militzer & Münch. “By integrating this team, which is firmly anchored in the dynamic Indonesian market, we expect significant positive effects for the Militzer & Münch Group.”
Militzer and Muench Indonesia offers a comprehensive range of services, including airfreight and sea freight forwarding, inland transportation, warehousing, project logistics, and customs brokerage services. The team in Indonesia specialises in sectors such as healthcare, chemicals, automotive, aerospace, and time-critical shipments. A dedicated trade lane development team, with specialists for the Korean and Japanese markets, along with key account management, is in place to support our global operations.
Growth market with a future
Militzer & Münch is focused on growth in promising markets. Recently, the company launched country units in New Zealand (2022) and Vietnam (2023) within the Asia / Far East / Oceania region. Country units in Malaysia and Sri Lanka have long been part of the company network. In the Chinese market, Militzer & Münch has been active since 1981. Indonesia offers great potential for further growth, too.
