According to Advent, Aerodom has a 30-year concession contract with the Dominican government and the country’s Airport Commission to develop, operate and manage six airports: Las Americas in Santo Domingo, the principal international gateway and second-largest airport in terms of passengers; Gregorio Luperon in Puerto Plata; Samana and Arroyo Barril, both near Samana; La Isabela in Santo Domingo, and Maria Montez in Barahona.
The airports handled more than 4 million passengers last year, or about half of all air passengers in the D.R. Aerodom was acquired from Hazoury Group, Vancouver Airport Services and local investors, Advent said. It has established a new company, Latin American Airport Holdings, to hold its interest in Aerodom and other airportbusinesses.
