The Australian government has announced it will provide the Australian Logistics Council (ALC) with $1.6 million over the next four years ($400,000 per year) to develop and lead a new strategy for the Australian transport and logistics industry.
The acting prime minister and minister for transport and regional services, Mark Vaile, made the announcement at the ALC’s fourth annual forum.
The continued funding was recommended by an independent review of the current Australian Logistics Industry Strategy which is led by the Council.
