Unisys said that it is developing a next-generation version of its Logistics Management System (LMS), which is used by many major air carriers to process approximately 25 percent of the world’s air freight.

The enhancements will include new services as well as migration of LMS to a new high performance J2EE technology platform that will run on a choice of modern systems. This work signifies the final step in LMS’ ongoing re-development programme.

As with the current version of LMS, Unisys will offer the new system on a hosted basis through its Hosting and Integration Services.
