Singapore-based low-cost carrier and Singapore Airlines subsidiary, Scoot, received a traditional water cannon welcome on Sunday, when its B787 Dreamliner aircraft arrived at Melbourne’s Tullamarine Airport. This marked the start of a new scheduled service to Australia’s second largest city, with flights operating five times a week, rising to daily in peak travel periods. Melbourne becomes Scoot’s fourth Australian destination, following Sydney, Perth and the Gold Coast. Scoot’s belly cargo is managed by Singapore Airlines Cargo.
