Ethiopian Cargo has begun new weekly freighter flights with B777-200 LR freighters to Istanbul and Beirut from 23 April. The newly launched flights will further strengthen ET’s cargo service to/from Liege (LGG) and Brussels (BRU) which are the carrier’s strategic hubs in Europe.
The flights are routed Liege-Istanbul-Addis Ababa and Liege-Beirut-Addis Ababa and will offer more convenient routes for Ethiopian customers to South East Europe and Middle East, the carrier said.
By 2025, Ethiopian Cargo plans to uplift over 820,000 tonnes per year flying to 37 freighter destinations across five continents using 19 dedicated modern cargo aircraft. Ethiopian is already serving 34 cargo destinations currently.
