Jan de Rijk Logistics, one of the leading logistics service providers in Europe, has reported higher revenues in 2015.
The company realised a total combined turnover of €216 million in 2015 and an operating result of €16.6 million compared to an operating result of €15.9 million in 2014.
The recent two acquisitions of de Rooy Logistics and Omega Logistics and further diversification contributed to the improved results. Through these acquisitions Jan de Rijk Logistics continued to increase its healthcare & automotive logistics portfolio. Also the contract logistics division showed solid growth.
The slowdown of the Chinese economy, the disruptions at the border crossing due to the migrant influx, and different currency fluctuations were the main challenges last year, but the company noted the outlook for 2016 is “modestly optimistic” even if the overall economic growth has been limited so far.
