Cargolux introduces a new direct weekly flight from Luxembourg to Aguadilla, Puerto Rico from 2 October bringing the number of weekly services it operates between Europe and Puerto Rico to five. Cargolux utilised highly specialised cool chain equipment and the most modern dedicated freighter in the industry, the B747-8F, that is ideally suited for perishable and cool chain shipments with its four independently adjustable climate zones, superior range and speed, the carrier said.
Cargolux has already established four successful indirect weekly service from Aguadilla to Europe that its notes are strongly supported by shippers and forwarders in the South and Central American perishables and flower industry. “Building on growing demand for faster services on the sectors to Puerto Rico, the new, direct south-bound flight complements the established services perfectly,” the carrier said.
