Posti Group will sell its road transport business in Sweden, Norway and Denmark, as well as its international freight business in Finland to the Danish company Nordic Transport Group (NTG). The parties intend to close the deal during the second quarter of 2015.
Posti’s other logistics business in Finland, in the Baltic countries and Russia are not included in the transaction. Posti will continue to provide logistics services in Finland in parcel services, company transport services, and supply chain solutions. In Sweden, Posti will continue in parcel operations that will keep growing thanks to e-commerce, as well as the existing storage services in Norway. In the future, Posti will provide international freight services to its customers through a partnership network.

With this transaction, NTG becomes a significant partner for Posti. By cooperating with NTG and other international players, we can offer our customers high-quality services in the field of international freight, too,” says Jukka Rosenberg, senior vice president, Posti’s Parcel and Logistics Services.
As part of the transaction, 190 people will be transferred to the service of NTG.
