Online retailer Amazon has formed an air cargo alliance with Patel Integrated Logistics to ensure next day delivery for wider range of customers in India. Amazon is in the process of extending its vendor base and identifying logistics providers in India, reports The Economic Times.
Patel Logistics is securing exclusive tie-ups with airlines such as IndiGo, Jet Airways and SpiceJet to cope up with delivery of bulk Amazon goods, as online retail sales are expected to increase during festive seasons. Under the new terms, Patel will only be moving goods from one airport to another for Amazon’s express delivery purposes. Other vendors for Amazon like FedEx, Gati and Blue Dart will be handling the last-mile deliveries once the products reach airports.
