dnata is sticking to plans to reduce its carbon footprint in Singapore with newly installed rooftop solar panels at Changi Airport.

The airside services provider has installed a 3.5-MWp rooftop solar power system across its operations, including its cargo and catering facilities at Changi.

The ‘rooftop power plant’ comprises over 6,500 individual solar panels and will generate more than 4,300 megawatt hours of clean energy a year.

dnata said the new installation will enable the company to reduce its electricity-related carbon emissions by 20 percent annually in Singapore. It targets to reduce its carbon footprint globally by 20 percent in the next two years.
