AAR wins cargo systems contract from EADS EFW

AAR Corp. has won a contract from EADS EFW to manufacture main deck cargo loading systems for its Airbus A300- 600 & A310-300 freighter conversion programme. According to the contract, of undisclosed value, the conversion programme involves supplying the cargo systems for conversion of EADS EFW passenger aircraft into freighter. EADS EFW recently bought 13 AAR systems for the A300-600 aircraft, which is scheduled to be delivered next year. AAR Cargo Systems holds FAA certifications for a wide range of commercial aircraft types, including the Airbus A300-600 and A310-300. The Dresden, Germany-based EADS EFW is the Centre of Excellence for Airbus passenger-to-freighter conversions within EADS and develops and manufactures flat fibre-reinforced composite components for structures and interiors of the entire Airbus family.
