Two new Airbus A330-200 aircraft joined the Royal Jordanian fleet recently with the aircraft to serve the airline’s long- and medium-range routes to the Far East and London. RJ president/CEO Hussein Dabbas said that the decision to introduce the aircraft was part of the airline’s plan to modernise its fleet and replace the long-serving aircraft with modern aircraft. The Airbus A330s joining RJ’s 31-plane fleet were acquired because of the delay in the delivery of the 11 Boeing 787 Dreamliners, which will start joining the fleet in 2013. The B787s were originally scheduled to join the airline at the beginning of 2011.
