HK sees 7th month of cargo traffic growth
Hong Kong International Airport has seen the seventh consecutive month of positive growth in air cargo tonnage — up 38 per cent year-on-year — to 354,000 tonnes in April. The strong cargo growth was mainly attributed to the continued recovery in the airport’s key export markets, in particular North America and Europe. Exports recorded an increase of 57 per cent, while imports showed year-on-year growth of 30 per cent, and transshipment 10 per cent. Air-traffic movements also increased 2.7 per cent.
