Guangzhou airport to get hub status
Construction of a new runway at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport will commence early next year, bringing the airport in southern China a step closer to becoming an international aviation hub, according to a China Daily report. SHIA urged to restrict cargo and cabin luggage
Following several aircraft accidents in Indonesia, the operator of Soekarno Hatta International Airport has boosted the inspection of cargo and hand-carried materials especially liquids such as aerosol or gels. Cargo grows 4% at world’s airports
The Airports Council International said that airports worldwide reported that 2006 cargo traffi c increased by 4 percent, while passenger traffi c rose 5 percent, as compared to 2005.
