Amazon Air has started operations at its first regional air hub in Europe this month at the Leipzig/Halle Airport (LEJ) in Schkeuditz, Germany.

The company has also leased two Boeing 737-800 aircraft from GECAS that will be operated by ASL Airlines on behalf of Amazon Air in Europe.
The 20,000–square–meter cargo facility at LEJ will add to the e-commerce giant’s existing fulfilment network in Europe and has already started to support customer deliveries with two daily flights.
