From this summer, IAG Cargo is starting a new route into Colombia and reopening its route into Cuba. The new services will connect Cali and Medellín in Colombia and Havana in Cuba to IAG Cargo's worldwide network of 350 destinations, and will bring the total of IAG Cargo gateways in Latin America to 19. Thai to exit freighter services, sell off 22 aircraft
Thai Airways has announced the latest step in its major restructuring plans that will see it sell off 22 of its aircraft and terminate freighter services as it struggles to overcome seven straight months of losses. The carrier - with nearly US$5.9 billion in debts - will cease operating its final two B747-400BCF services by end of the month. Abu Dhabi Airports said it handled 64,067 tonnes of cargo at its three terminals in February 2015, a 12.6 per cent increase when compared to February 2014.
