ACC3 deadline is here
The deadline for compliance with the European Union’s ACC3 (Air Cargo or Mail Carrier operating into the Union from a Third Country Airport) requirement has now passed on 1 July, meaning any carriers who do not gain accreditation for their overseas cargo facilities will be banned from transporting cargo to any EU airport. Preliminary traffic figures for the month of May released by the Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA) showed healthy growth in demand for both air freight and international passenger markets. Etihad Cargo moved record volume in April and May, propelling it into the list of top 10 performing global air cargo operators, based on monthly WorldACD carrier rankings. In April, Etihad Cargo moved 44,730 tonnes of cargo, 30 per cent more than the 34,352 tonnes carried in the same period last year.
