Etihad Cargo has announced its first round-the-world freighter routing in conjunction with Atlas Air Worldwide. The jointly operated service began on 30 May 2013, connecting Etihad Cargo’s Abu Dhabi hub with destinations in Asia, the US, South America and Europe. The Nigerian Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO) has announced plans to build a cargo complex at Lagos’ Murtala Mohammed International Airport. The cargo complex will not only serve warehouse purposes, it will also accommodate the clearing agents who have complained about a severe lack of available space for carrying out their business, according to Nigerian media reports. Hactl volumes up 38% for half year
Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited (Hactl) handled a total of 245,352 tonnes of cargo in June, up 30.5 per cent year-on-year. Tonnage throughput for the first half of the year was 1,389,059 tonnes, representing a year-on-year growth of 38.4 per cent.
