Freight volumes record robust increases
According to Airport Council International, the strong growth trend continued with passenger traffic increasing by 6.8% and freight volumes recorded a robust 8.9 increase in July. Fuelled by strengthening global trade and industrial production, freight volumes continued their increase in July. Budapest Airport sees continued growth in first half of 2017
The Hungarian capital recorded 49,420 tonnes of air cargo, up 16.7 per cent, and 22,741 tonnes of trucked cargo, up 26.5 per cent compared to last year.
