Emirates has announced plans to launch services to Panama City (Tocumen International Airport (PTY)), beginning 1 February 2016. The new service will be the longest non-stop flight in the world (17 hours 35 minutes in the Westbound direction) and will be Emirates’ first gateway destination in Central America. Philippine Airlines announced plans to launch direct flights between the Philippines’ second largest city of Cebu City and Los Angeles. The service will commence 15 March 2016, to coincide with the national carrier’s 75th anniversary and will operate three times a week using an A340 aircraft.
