TIACA welcomes WCO’s adoption of SAFE updates
The Air Cargo Association (TIACA) has welcomed the World Customs Organisation (WCO) Council’s adoption of important updates to its SAFE Framework of Standards to Secure and Facilitate Global Trade. AEI Delivers 3rd B737-400SF to Cargoair
Aeronautical Engineers, Inc. (AEI) announced that it has delivered the third B737-400SF 11 pallet position to Sofia, Bulgaria based Cargoair. The aircraft, built in 1990 is a high gross weight B737-400 with only 30,000 cycles. Cargoair will operate the aircraft under a long-term contract for the European integrator, DHL. National B747F crash from shifting cargo: NTSB
A National Airlines B747-400 freighter that crashed seconds after takeoff from Bagram, Afghanistan, in April 2013, was likely caused by inadequate restraint of large military vehicles being carried onboard, which broke loose and went through a bulkhead disabling two hydraulic systems and making the aircraft uncontrollable, according to a National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) investigation.
