ABC enjoys 17% growth in half year tonnage
AirBridgeCargo Airlines (ABC) has reported an impressive 17 per cent increase in tonnage carried across its global network in the first half of 2015. The airline transported over 218,000 tonnes in the six months ended 30 June 2015 and saw a 22 per cent rise in freight tonne-kilometres. ABC achieved a load factor of 67 per cent during the half-year, maintaining a level much higher than the industry average. IAG Cargo will see capacity rise with B787-9
IAG Cargo will begin cargo services with its new B787-9 Dreamliner this October, five times weekly on the London Heathrow-Delhi route. With belly-hold capacity of seven pallets and 16 tonnes of lift, the new aircraft will offer 17 per cent more capacity than the B747 it is replacing on this route.
