Air cargo experiences strongest first half year growth since 2010
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) released data for global air freight markets showing that demand, measured in freight tonne kilometers (FTKs), grew by 10.4% in the first-half of 2017 compared to the first-half of 2016. Hactl achieves a staggering 16.6% growth in first half of 2017
Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited (Hactl), has achieved a 16.6% increase in handled tonnage during the first half of 2017. The total of 860,242 tonnes represents growth in exports, imports, transhipments and mail/express. Hactl has now outperformed the Hong Kong market every month since September 2016. On the 1st of July, the “Customs Export App” went live to serve the BRUcargo forwarders community. BRUcargo is the dedicated cargo area of Brussels Airport which handles 650,000 tonnes of freight annually, almost 500.000 tonnes flown. WFS increases its ground handling footprint at LAX
Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) has been awarded three new ground handling contracts at Los Angeles International Airport. China Southern selected WFS to provide ramp services at the airport for its 10 flights per week connecting Los Angeles and Guangzhou.
