Australia’s livestock air freight exports have grown 150 per cent in value over last year according to the latest figures from LiveCorp which said growing demand for genetics from emerging livestock-producing nations is behind the record number of Australian sheep, goats and cattle exported by air. No upturn before 2010 says Kuehne & Nagel
Swiss logistics group Kuehne & Nagel has seen the pace of decline slow, but does not expect a sustainable recovery before 2010, its chief executive said recently. “The decline in the volumes is not as dramatic as it was a few months ago, but we are not seeing a definite recovery,†Reinhard Lange told Swiss newspaper Handelszeitung, according to Reuters.
