German mail and logistics group Deutsche Post and Lufthansa Cargo have announced the creation of a new 50:50 joint venture cargo carrier focusing on transporting air freight and express shipments into and out of Asia. CHINA: Hainan Airlines opts for ECS
European Cargo Services (ECS) has won a tender to become the exclusive cargo GSA throughout Europe for the Chinese passenger and cargo carrier, Hainan Airlines. The new agreement, effective immediately, sees ECS offi ces throughout Europe marketing the airline’s 45 tonnes a week of freight capacity to Beijing. Northwest Airlines (NWA) Cargo has introduced an express trucking service between Hong Kong and China’s Guangdong province.
