The contract logistics market in Western Europe grew by 6.7 percent in 2006 to reach 49 billion euros. Thailand's logistics costs too high
Thailand's actual logistics costs index this year should not be above its previous forecast of 23.9 percent of gross domestic product, the Nation reported, citing Thammasat Business School associate professor Ruth Banomyong. Mail operator TNT has said it will decide in the next year whether to take on Royal Mail by launching a‘fi nal mile’ delivery service in theUK. FedEx to expand Kinko's network
FedEx Kinko’s has announced a major expansion plan to open 300 new offi ce and print centres in the US throughout fi scal 2008. The company also will redesign 110 existing centres. FedEx Kinko’s currently has more than 1,700 locations in operation in the US. The company said it also plans to open twenty new centres outside the US during fi scal 2008.
