Kerry Logistics Network Limited is extending its coverage in Latin America with a new office in Lima as it looks to capitalise on a broad range of industries amidst growing trade between Peru and China.

The Hong Kong-listed logistics player expects the new office to boost its international freight forwarding capability and tap into the Peruvian export trade. With the addition of the Peru office, the company is expanding the number of locations it serves to 60.

William Ma, group managing director of Kerry Logistics Network, said it will leverage on the company’s global sea and air coverage to capitalise on the bilateral trade between Peru and its biggest export trader China.
The company noted that its target markets include mining, apparel, automotive, high-tech and pharma.
“For the mining industry, which constitutes Peru’s principal source of economic growth as the world’s second largest producer of copper, silver, and zinc, the Peru team in will provide dedicated air and ocean freight for import and export as well as transporting of mining equipment and component parts,” the company stated.
The Hong Kong-listed company said the Lima office will also provide services for Peru’s apparel manufacturers who are looking to export raw materials like cotton products and fine alpaca garments to international brands. The team will also provide industrial project logistics solutions for the oil, gas and energy sectors.
With the addition of the Peru office, the company is expanding the number of locations it serves to 60.
“Our strengthened foothold in the Americas, including connections from Huntsville in Alabama, and Miami, Florida in the US to Latin America, will facilitate intercontinental transportation of goods in the wake of massive disruptions to the global supply chains,” said Kerry’s Ma.
