Scoot converts A320 passenger aircraft for cargo-only transport

Scoot modified one of its A320ceo passenger aircraft (9V-TAZ) to carry cargo only by removing all seats in the cabin, doubling its capacity to nearly 20 tonnes, a press release confirmed.  The modified aircraft’s first cargo charter flight took off on 22 August from Fuzhou to Singapore. Indonesia’s Batik Air takes delivery of first A320

Batik Air took delivery of its maiden pair of A320-200 (sl)s, PK-LAF (cn 6164) and PK-LAG (cn 6280), Skyliner Aviation reports. The jets are part of a 2013 order parent Lion Air Group placed with Airbus in 2013, entailing 60 A320ceo, 109 A320neo, and 65 A321neo. Aside from two A310-300s that featured in Lion Airlines' fleet between summer 2001 and spring 2002, the A320s are the first Airbus metal to feature in the Lion Air Group.
