Governments, industry and environmental groups meeting at the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) have finalised the design of the first global certification standard for CO2 emissions from new aircraft. Global air freight markets show volumes in decline by 1.3 per cent in November 2015, thereby removing the optimism from the first half of the year, said the Airports Council International in releasing its monthly statistics. Air freight continued to be impacted by slowdown across Asian export markets and oil producing economies, according to Airports Council International (ACI), with July freight volumes flat in Asia-Pacific with zero per cent growth and the Middle East recording a decrease of -0.9 per cent.
