EUROPE: Cargo flights commence at Parchim
German airport Parchim announced the start of scheduled cargo services with the landing of a B747-200F of Russian Tesis Airlines and a similar freighter by British MK Airlines last month. Both aircraft carried China made medical goods and consumer items to Parchim for distribution throughout Germanyand to the European markets. Etihad Airways has taken delivery of its fi rst Airbus A340-600, the world’s longest commercial passenger aircraft. The four-engine aircraft, which has a range of 14,600 kilometres, is the fi rst of Etihad’s four A340-600s scheduled for delivery in 2007.
