UPS Airlines said that by August, it will fly the last of its 16 remaining 727s in its fleet to the New Mexico desert, where they’ll be stored. The planes, built from the early 1960s until August 1984, no longer fit UPS’ needs, spokesman Mark Giuffre said. UPS adds new global service
UPS said it will launch a new “around-the-world” flight this summer to further enhance service between Singapore and markets in the Middle East, Europe and the US. The new flight will allow UPS to enhance service by improving pickup times and providing more airlift in response to customers, the company said in a statement.
