Indonesia’s biggest airport operator looks to cargo amidst slump
PT Angkasa Pura II, Indonesia’s largest airport operator, is pushing ahead with the construction of a new goods-handling facility in Jakarta, betting the movement of cargo will help an industry laid to waste by the reduction in passenger flights, Bloomberg reports. IAG Cargo and LEVEL relaunch Barcelona-New York service
IAG Cargo and its long-haul, low-cost carrier LEVEL will restart the Barcelona–New York route for passengers and freight to allow trade and travel between North America and Europe, a press release confirmed. Kerry Logistics posts strong H1, backed by airfreight and e-commerce
Kerry Logistics’ net profit jumped 26 percent to HK$845 million (US$109 million) in the first six months, compared to the same period last year, despite experiencing a downturn in its warehouse business due to Covid-19. Lufthansa Cargo says Frankfurt pharma hub ready for corona vaccine
With Frankfurt Airport handling around 120,000 tonnes of pharmaceuticals in 2019, airport operator Fraport and Lufthansa Cargo, along with other partners of the air cargo community at the site, said the state-of-the-art pharma hub in Frankfurt is well prepared to handle and ship temperature-sensitive goods—or a possible corona vaccine.
