The new Hyderabad International Airport has awarded two seven-year concessions to carry out ground handling activities of third party airlines at the airport, which is scheduled to open in March 2008. Menzies Aviation said it has been awarded a ramp handling contract by Yangtze River Express at Hong Kong International Airport. Terms were not disclosed. Yangtze River Express will operate fi ve weekly fl ights on behalf of DHL, using B737-300F aircraft. The contract started in early April. Schiphol needs sixth runway to meet growth
Amsterdan Airport Schiphol (AMS) will need a sixth runway to accommodate its anticipated growth, Schiphol Group indicated in its long-term outlook published last month. AMS expects passenger throughput to grow 84.4 percent to 85 million by 2025, with freight morethan doubling to 3.5 million tonnes.
