SHIA urged to restrict cargo and cabin luggage
Following several aircraft accidents in Indonesia, the operator of Soekarno Hatta International Airport has boosted the inspection of cargo and hand-carried materials especially liquids such as aerosol or gels. Kasmin Kamil, the manager of SHIA, said the airport restricted hand-carried liquids since March 31. Cargo grows 4% at world’s airports
The Airports Council International said that airports worldwide reported that 2006 cargo traffi c increased by 4 percent, while passenger traffi c rose 5 percent, as compared to 2005. International passenger and freight results rose even more fi rmly by 7 percent and6 percent respectively.
