Geodis has confirmed the extension of its air charter services with the addition of a weekly flight from Shanghai (PVG) to Guadalajara (GDL) starting 3 March until at least the end of 2022. The forwarder claims this will be the only service in the market that offers direct access to Mexico from north and central China and will complement the existing AirDirect Hong Kong to Guadalajara schedule initiated in November 2019. Kuehne+Nagel gets lift from air freight, restores dividend plans
Swiss freight forwarder Kuehne+Nagel International reported a smaller-than-expected fall in second-quarter profit, reports Reuters, buoyed by increased air freight operation which saw double-digit growth. The company said it would restore its dividend plans. Despite earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) sliding 12.6% to CHF 235 million ($250 million), air freight operations inched up 17%, the report stated.
