Hong Kong-based forwarder U-Freight Group has added warehouse space at its headquarters in Amsterdam as it anticipates growth in its Dutch e-commerce logistics operations. Maintaining its momentum from last year, DB Schenker is expanding its own-controlled charter flights with the introduction of a new service that connects America, Europe and Asia directly. The new route runs from Chicago (RFD) via Munich (MUC) to Tokyo (NRT) and Seoul (ICN) before flying back to Germany and from there again to the US. Virgin Atlantic is set to increase its cargo-only flying this January as the airline continues to adapt and leverage on its cargo operations, with recovery in passenger traffic yet again curtailed by the UK’s latest lockdown as well as travel restrictions in other destinations.
