HONG KONG: Goodrich to supply CX freighters’ cargo systems
Goodrich Corp said it has been selected by Cathay Pacifi c Airways to provide advanced cargo systems for the Hong Kong carrier’s new fl eet of Boeing 747-400ERF freighters. The Airport Authority (AA) of Hong Kong is to call for the fi nal tenders from short-listed bidders for construction of the third cargo terminal by end of June,an offi cial said. While China Eastern Airlines is on the verge of selling a 25 percent stake to Singapore Airlines, Shanghai Airlines appears to be interested fi nding its own foreign investor, ATWOnline reported. CHINA: AC axes freighter fl ights to China
Air Canada said it is dropping its freighter operation into China. At the end of June, the Canadian carrier will return a leased MD-11 freighter to ACMI provider World Airways, terminating its all-cargo service between Shanghai and Toronto.
