Crane Aerospace & Electronics has signed a Master Services Agreement with UPS recently. Under the deal UPS will manage Crane-owned inventories of new and serviceable assemblies in various locations throughout the world. UPS reports full-year profit, but down 28%
UPS has reported significant fourthquarter improvement, closing out the year with a US$2.15 billion profit, albeit down 28.3 per cent from the $3 billion earned in 2008. Two giant pandas received a complementary ride from the US to Chengdu, China last month courtesy of FedEx Express. UPS opens new intra-Asia hub at Shenzhen
UPS launched its inaugural flight at Shenzhen’s Bao’an International Airport on 9 February, marking the opening of its new intra-Asia hub, replacing operations at the former Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines. The new US$180 million UPS Asia-Pacific hub has 400 staff and is capable of sorting 18,000 packages an hour, according to UPS.
