PHILIPPINES: PAL takes delivery of first B777-300ER
Philippine Airlines (PAL) took delivery of its first 777-300ER from Boeing in late November which is one of two it is leasing from GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS). In addition the airline has four more 777-300ERs on order directly from Boeing from 2007. INDONESIA: Garuda Indonesia returns to Europe from June
The introduction of daily services from Jakarta to Amsterdam via Dubai marks a return to Europe for Garuda Indonesia as it embarks on a global network expansion. Amsterdam will be the first of a number of key European cities such as Frankfurt, Paris and London. Garuda Indonesia has planned for its European expansion over the next few years. Singapore Airlines will launch twicedaily flights between Singapore and Tokyo Haneda airport in October next year, complementing the current twicedaily Tokyo Narita services, one of which continues on to Los Angeles.
