Singapore Airlines Cargo has launched a weekly eastbound round-the-world freighter service to Atlanta. The B747- 400 freighter from Singapore is routed via Hong Kong, Anchorage and Los Angeles, returning via Brussels and Sharjah. Cargo and passenger traffic by airlines in South Korea grew in November, bolstered by steadily rebounding economic conditions at home and abroad, according to a recent government report. Korean Air posted its second straight quarterly net profit recently thanks to lower fuel costs and the strengthening won. The carrier also cautiously forecasted further recovery next year.
