MALAYSIA: Malaysia Airlines’ A380s delayed by Airbus
Malaysia Airlines (MAS) said the first deliveries of its Airbus A380 aircraft have been delayed at the manufacturer’s request, the carrier said in a statement. The first of the airline’s six A380s which were supposed to arrive in January 2011, with additional planes being delivered at one-month intervals, but the aircraft will now start arriving in August 2011 at the earliest, MAS said. MALAYSIA: Asian airlines say recovery ‘tentative’
Preliminary traffic data released by the Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA) for October indicate that the recovery remains tentative. AAPA international air cargo demand maintained the trend of slow but steady improvement, with traffic just 2.4 per cent below the levels recorded in October 2008, the smallest shortfall so far this year. HONG KONG: Cathay Pacific to launch Milan service
Cathay Pacific Airways announced that it will launch four-times-weekly passenger service between Hong Kong and Milan, effective 28 March 2010 using B777-300ER aircraft.
