Thailand’s six main airports handled 108,605 tonnes of air cargo in October, growing by 1.4 per cent year-on-year, according to statistics compiled by Airports of Thailand (AOT). The Kenya Airways Authority (KAA) has awarded a tender to build the second phase of the expansion and modernisation of Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to China National Aero-Technology International Engineering Company (CATIC), the Business Daily reported. The long-standing dispute between Sheremetyevo International Airport and the cargo terminal, Sheremetyevo-Cargo, over the lease of the land plot has been settled, according to the two players. Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) released the October 2009 traffic figures for Abu Dhabi International Airport showing strong growth throughout 2009.
