Lufthansa Cargo has launched a weekly freighter service to Guadalajara, Mexico from 22 July. The flight, operated by an MD-11 freighter, will fly from Lufthansa’s Frankfurt hub via Dallas/Fort Worth to Guadalajara and again via Dallas back to Frankfurt. Etihad Airways, has announced it has signed a codeshare agreement with Turkish Airlines. The deal follows the launch of Etihad’s four flights a week service to the Turkish commercial capital, Istanbul, which began on 1 June. Etihad Airways has become the first airline in the Middle East to join the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Working Group Committee for Security. MIDDLE EAST: Iraqi Airways cargo revived with new deal
Iraq’s Ministry of Transport has concluded a four-year contract for joint operation of Iraqi Airways with the Emirati company, Ross Aviation. Under the contract Ross Aviation will supply air freight and navigational equipment to Iraqi Airways as well as bring in a minimum of 20 aircraft for joint operation.
