The northeastern regional airport of Schwerin-Parchim in Germany has been acquired by Beijing-based LinkGlobal Logistics for an undisclosed amount. US airports need to spend $87b
Airports in the US need to spend more than $87 billion for infrastructure and other improvements by 2011 to accommodate increasing passenger and air-cargo demand, according to a study by the Airports Council International North America. Menzies Aviation has announced a third joint venture in India, further extending its partnership with Bobba Group. Menzies and Bobba Group have signed a non-exclusive ground handling licence agreement with GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL). Kenya Airways unit joins Cargo 2000
Kenya Airways’ ground handling subsidiary has joined Cargo 2000. The GHA, which was formed in 1978 at the inception of the airline, currently handles close to 70 percent of all airfreight through Jomo Kenya International Airport, Nairobi, which incorporates general cargo, courier traffic and post office mail.
