The trade association for UK freight forwarders and logistics service providers has expressed its frustration that a decision on the expansion of UK airport capacity is likely to be delayed for a further six months. BIFA Names Osborn New Chairman
Fred Osborn succeeds Carson McMullan as the national chairman of the trade association for UK freight forwarders, with Mark Bromley becoming vice chairman. Since 2000, Osborn has been the co-owner of X-Pand International Freight Ltd. He has been BIFA's vice chairman for the past two years and was previously chair of BIFA's Air Policy Group. IATA scam is back again
BIFA has received information from a number of members concerning, so called, payment demands from IATA sent by email. Even more worrying is that the e-mail suffices (domain name) appear to clone the genuine IATA suffix (@iata.org). Fortunately, BIFA has observed that there are still ‘tell-tale’ signs to look out for, for example poor spelling is common, which a recent sample received by a BIFA member demonstrated, as it was from ‘[email protected]’.
