Singapore-based Cosco Group has through its subsidiary Cosco (Guangdong) Shipyard Co., Ltd., secured a contract worth US$30 million to build one 4,500 square metre livestock carrier for an unnamed European client. The 10,061 TEU (20-foot equivalent unit) containership Cosco Asia has said to have been attacked while transiting the Suez Canal on Saturday, according to press reports.
